That's my Mum and I. The odd couple.

I just realised... I just liked that picture and it made me laugh! Neither represents my darling Mum or I haha!

Mum likes neutrals, I like brights. The half is glass empty in Mum's eye's, the glass is half full in mine. Mum thinks of every detail first, I worry about the details later...

It's amazing how two people, so close, could be so different. We had another of those conversations last night, my great idea to me, would lead to 'financial ruin' in Mum's eyes. How funny.

Made me think, do you always take the advice of others or just give it shot? Kellie xx

Darker tones & other things

Loving these dark tones. Dramatic, fun and still ultra stylish. Im still planning our new bedroom design and thinking ill start working with some darker tones which is very exciting. My wonderful husband will be shocked/thrilled!

Thought this was divine too. So pretty in a little white frame!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Heading out of Sydney for the day to see some clients. It's been another busy week and again, can't wait for Saturday. Oh i'd love to head off for a warm little getaway, by the pool... Have had a bit of a dozzie week. Some things have gone pear shaped and then had some beautiful new cushion fabric cut the wrong way, Luke was with me when I saw it and said all i could do was hold my head. I couldn't think straight! Oops. Luckily we found a solution to the slight hick up and the show will go on... Does things come in 3's cause hopefully ive hit my share!

In fabulous news though, I did see the new turquoise zebra cushions with hot pink rope trim that will be coming to the store very soon and they are outrageously gorgeous. That made me feel much happier. Also collected were some pretty little pom pom ones in apricot floral. Soft and delightful...

On a side note, here are more of my roses in my pink ginger jar on the dining room table. Kellie xx

These gorgeous photos were sent through from a lovely customer who recently purchased some gorgeous products from the store. That pretty magnolia ceramic books looks beautiful in its new home! Kellie xx

Roses + roses...

Saturday morning I completely missed the alarm and ended up at the flower markets just as they were closing at 10.55am. I ran to my favourite flower man who gave me 36 roses for $10 - outrageous!! Here are just a few in darling Samantha Robinson vases and they are incredibly beautiful. Orange, lemon and pink - such a special combination.

I always ask him the same question when choosing my roses 'will these last til tomorrow', he often laughs and says they will last you a week! Gotta be sure and enjoy these little darlings for as long as possible. Kellie xx

Break out space...

I'm also currently putting together concepts for a dear friend's wedding and strongly encouraging a break out space with lovely lounges and fabulous cushions and little gorgeous tables. Not only does it look fabulous but its such a wonderful way to encourage guests to sit back and relax.

I couldnt help but show that table arrangement, such a powerful impact with the shape evolving through the garden as well with the amazing lighting, gorgeous lighting is so important and can really make a space go wow! kellie xxx

Chairs, gorgeous chairs...

Oh la la! Being a fan of Judy's work, I was so delighted to see her new collection of furniture come to life and now, have it in the store! How gorgeous do the pieces look with A&D cushions excuse the photoshop work - we seriously dont get on well but despite that these chairs are undeniably fabulous... Thinking about a couple of pieces for our home and just briefed these gorgeous products for a client, we are looking at this with some of the beautiful oriental Quadrille pink fabric with white piping... Divine! These will be available Saturday and I can't wait. Kellie xx

The Perfect DIY!

I adored this concept! Just had to share it... Here is how:

1. Select a large fruit or vegetable that will hold your variety of flowers. Cut the very top off of fruit or vegetable with a knife.

2. Carve a 3 inch round/deep opening in fruit or vegetable.

3. Carve floral foam to fit inside of votive holder.

4. Put floral foam inside of votive holder and place into the fruit or vegetable opening.

5. Pour water into votive holder.

6. Snip the stems of flowers and arrange them however you like and stick them one by one into the foam.

Lovely surprises...

Was very excited as I stopped off at the Supermarket and spied an Ada & Darcy lamp featured in April Shop Til You Drop! What a lovely surprise! And, early this morning which also made me super excited was some further Samantha Robinson items that arrived- loving those beautiful large red floral bowls so beautiful on the top as well as the bottom! Thoughts on Autumn...

Whilst it was definitely a beautiful warm day in Sydney yesterday, the weather is definitely getting cooler. The lovely Charlotta from Space for Inspiration asked me what I thought about the changing season and what's inspiring me as I move into the colder months... Read it all here xx

Friday!

What an exhausting week! Suffering from a lack of sleep but happy and lovely customers has made it all worth while.

This weekend I have a facial and massage planned and a wonderful lunch by the water planned for Sunday. Perhaps even a visit to the flower markets Saturday morning to give our home a little razzle dazzle over the coming week, not sure what flowers will be out in bloom given its starting to get a bit colder in Sydney.
